The activity, themed “Bayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas,” brings together important ICT stakeholders, experts, and leaders to address the obstacles hindering the digitization efforts of the Bangsamoro Parliament. These challenges encompass the implementation of e-governance, cybersecurity measures, and data privacy initiatives.
 
Different stakeholders, experts, and Bangsamoro leaders also participated in the summit, with Deputy Commissioner of the National Privacy Commission, Atty. Leandro Angelo Y. Aguirre, Division Chief of Cybersecurity Bureau of the DICT, Engr. George Tardio, PECE, and Mr. Christer Cruz, CEO of TechEdge Solutions were keynote speakers at the summit.

Yacob, Ph.D., successfully conducted a three-day relief assistance distribution in the provinces of Maguindanao Del Sur and Del Norte from September 24 to 26, 2024. This initiative took place in the municipalities of Mamasapano, Shariff Aguak, Shariff Saydona, and Datu Odin Sinsuat, reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the region.
