READ| The staff of the Office of the Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., successfully conducted a simultaneous relief assistance distribution yesterday, July 23, 2024, in the Municipalities of Datu Montawal and Sultan Sa Barongis, particularly in Sitio Kurungan, Barangay Pagagawan, and Barangay Masulot respectively in the province of Maguindanao Del Sur, an area severely affected by recent floodings caused by the multiple weather systems that brought heavy rains.

 

The distribution aims to help alleviate the suffering of the affected residents and provide them with temporary support during this challenging time. A total of 500 households each received a welfare package containing one sack of rice weighing 25kg, assorted canned goods, and instant coffee.

 

The relief assistance underscores the commitment of the BARMM Government to make the government closer to the community under the leadership of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Balawag Ibrahim.

The distribution was funded through the Emergency Relief Assistance program of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD).

This initiative took place in the municipalities of Mamasapano, Shariff Aguak, Shariff Saydona, and Datu Odin Sinsuat, reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the region.
