READ: The Office of Member of Parliament Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., successfully conducted a three-day relief assistance distribution in the provinces of Maguindanao Del Sur and Del Norte from September 24 to 26, 2024. This initiative took place in the municipalities of Mamasapano, Shariff Aguak, Shariff Saydona, and Datu Odin Sinsuat, reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the region.
The primary focus of this initiative was to support marginalized sectors within the Bangsamoro region, where food security remains a pressing concern. A total of 900 households benefited from this program, each receiving a welfare package that included a 25kg sack of rice. This essential support not only alleviates immediate food shortages but also reinforces the community’s resilience during challenging times.
This series of distributions is a testament to the ongoing commitment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Government, led by Chief Minister Ahod Bawalag Ebrahim. The government continues to prioritize initiatives that uplift marginalized communities, essential workers, and religious leaders. By providing tangible support, the BARMM aims to foster greater regional equity and social stability.
