READ| The finance unit of the office of the Member of Parliament Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., joined the Orientation on Commission on Audit (COA) Guidelines for Government Financial Transaction organized by the Finance Service of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) today, April 25, 2024 held at Grand Pagana Hall, Cotabato City.
The orientation included four essential sessions. The Updated Documentary Requirements for Common Government Transactions, as outlined in COA Circular No. 2012-001, were discussed in the first session. This offered a detailed description of the documentation and procedures required for various government transactions.
The second session focused on the Guidelines for the Prevention and Disallowance of Irregular, Unnecessary, Excessive, Extravagant, and Unconscionable Expenditures as defined in COA Circular No. 2012-003. The Government Procurement Processes and Forms were discussed in the third session, and the fourth session covered the BTA Financial Transaction Flows.
The activity offered valuable insights on the optimal methods for supervising government expenditures, ensuring compliance with statutory standards, and effectively preventing unauthorized transactions. This will aid in preserving the integrity and transparency of the financial procedures within the BTA Offices.
