“MP YACOB’S MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM ALLOCATES PHP1M FOR BANGSAMORO DOCTORS HOSPITAL”
READ| The Office of the Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., through its Medical Outreach Program (MOP) allocation under the Ministry of Health (MOH), successfully turned over a check worth Php1,000,000.00 intended for hospital assistance to Bangsamoro Doctors Hospital (BMDH) today, July 8, 2024, in Cotabato City.
This event highlights the continued support and commitment of the current government, under the leadership of Interim Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim, to easily accessible healthcare services in the Bangsamoro Region.
In her message, Supervising Political Affairs Officer III, Ms. Norhayah E. Datumanong, highlighted the dedication of MP Yacob’s office and the Bangsamoro Government to delivering exceptional care through the MOP. She also stresses her sincere appreciation and gratitude to Chief Minister Ebrahim for his leadership of the Bangsamoro Government and his efforts to bring the government closer to the people.
“This occasion symbolizes our commitment to providing exceptional care to our constituents. This medical outreach program plays a pivotal role in creating a nurturing environment where healing can flourish. Substantially, it impacts healthcare accessibility within this region. Additionally, it aims to ease the burden of the Bangsamoro residents who were admitted to this hospital,” Ms. Datumanong said.
“On behalf of the office of MP Yacob, we extend our sincerest appreciation and gratitude to our chief minister, Ahod Balawag Ebrahim, for leading the Bangsamoro Government and bringing the government closer to the community.” She added.
This marks the second collaboration between BMDH and MP Yacob’s office, following a previous contribution of Php500,000.00 worth of funds in 2023 for the same purpose.
Dr. Meriam P. Kanakan, Medical Director of BMDH, warmly accepted the hospital fund assistance, recalling the profound impact on previous MOP beneficiaries. She also expresses gratitude to MP Yacob’s office for this initiative.
“BDH has been our partner for a second year now, and we are very thankful for this collaboration. Many of our patients have expressed their gratitude for being able to receive financial assistance, even when admitted to this private hospital. I have witnessed some patients crying with immense gratitude, especially those who received financial assistance from your office for the first time. They are deeply appreciative of this support. So, for this partnership, I once again extend my thanks and gratitude to our good MP. Through your efforts, we seek Allah’s mercy.” Dra. Kanakan said.
MOH representatives were present during the turnover ceremony, led by MOP focal Ms. Raihana Mamucao, MP Yacob’s staff, Dr. Meriam P. Kanakan, and members of the media.
