COTABATO CITY| The Office of the Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., represented by Mr. Walid Y. Iskak, RN, CHRA, MPA, has delivered the message of support to the youth participants during “LET’S TALK, I SPEAK: A Public Speaking Seminar Workshop” hosted by Cotabato State University (CSU) in collaboration with the office of MP Yacob, on September 5, 2023 held at the Campus Audio Visual Room (AVR).
The workshop serves as a dynamic platform where young individuals will be equipped with the skills and confidence essential for effective communication and advocacy. Beyond the immediate goals of this event, its impact carries significant implications for legislative initiatives aimed at bolstering the youth’s prospects and well-being.
Iskak, in his message, emphasized the pivotal role that today’s youth play in shaping the future. He stated,
“You are the active agents of change. You are not just the leaders of tomorrow; you have the power to be leaders today. Whether it is through your innovative startups, your activism, or artistic expressions, you are already making a difference in communities and beyond,”
“By investing in the youth, we are investing in our own collective future. Empowering them with resources, education, opportunities, and platforms to thrive will yield benefits beyond measure. It is our responsibility as a society, as parents, as educators, and as leaders to create an environment where the youth can reach their full potential. It is through their growth, discovery, and accomplishments that we will unlock a brighter future for all.” He added.
He urged the attendees and society to not underestimate the importance of the youth and to actively engage with their ideas and aspirations.
“So, let us no longer dismiss the importance of the youth. Let us acknowledge their talents, passions, and desires. Let us grant them a seat at the table where decisions are made, and let us listen to what they have to say. For it is they who will defy the odds, challenge the impossible, and reshape the world in unimaginable ways.”
