COTABATO CITY| In a significant stride towards fostering growth and progress in the Bangsamoro region, a delegation comprising the Former Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary Gerundio C. Madueño, Atty. Reginald Pastrana, Team Leader/Key Expert and Ms. Norolhaya M. Haron from the European Union (EU) funded Support to Bangsamoro Transition (SUBATRA), and Ms. Edna Tatel consultant to The Asia Foundation (TAF), paid a cordial visit to the office of the Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D. on August 18, 2023.

The purpose of the visit was to initiate a collaborative effort that aims to propel the Bangsamoro Agriculture, Fisheries, Agrarian Reform (BAFAR) Code to greater heights. Design to establish a comprehensive framework of guidelines, regulations, and principles, the BAFAR Code endeavors to orchestrate positive transformation within the Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform sectors. Mr. Madueño, renowned for his expertise and experience in agrarian reform, will lend his insights as a consultant for further enhancement and development of the BAFAR Code.
Expressing his sincere appreciation, MP Yacob conveyed his gratitude for the steadfast dedication and invaluable contribution of the collaborative team. He highlighted the profound significance of their combined efforts in steering the BAFAR Code towards tangible realization.

This strategic partnership between Mr. Madueño, the EU-backed SUBATRA initiative, and The Asia Foundation underscores a shared commitment to fostering positive change within the Bangsamoro region. As these influential figures converge their expertise, the trajectory of the BAFAR Code is poised to evolve into a beacon of progress, serving as a cornerstone for advancing agricultural, fisheries, and agrarian reform pursuits.
