COTABATO CITY| The Committee on Finance, Budget, and Management (CFBM) Sub-Committee G successfully concluded its intensive budget hearing today at the BTA Parliament Session Hall, SKCC, BGC, Cotabato City. The hearing spanned four days, from November 17 to 21, 2023, and focused on key budget proposals critical to the progress and development of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Led by the Sub-Committee Chairperson MP Atty. Raissa H. Jajurie along with Vice-Chairperson MP Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., Member MP Adzfar Usman, and other Members of the Bangsamoro Parliament, the Sub-Committee G engaged in meticulous deliberations on various budgetary allocations crucial to the region’s growth.
The main items on the agenda included:
1.Deliberation of the Proposed 2024 Budget of the Ministry
of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE);
2.Deliberation of the Proposed 2024 Budget of the
Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC); and
3.Deliberation of the Proposed 2024 Budget of the
Development Academy of the Bangsamoro (DAB).
Sub-Committee G is expected to present and defend the outcomes of the 4 days budget hearing before its mother committee, the Committee on Finance, Budget, and Management.
The budget hearing marked a crucial step in the legislative process, as the committee diligently worked to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability in the allocation of resources to the development and progress of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
