METRO MANILA| Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., together with other Members of the Parliament (MP), joins during the Learning Session on Parliament Bill No. 286 or “An Act Providing for the Revenue Code of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for Other Purposes” conducted by the Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management (MFBM) in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on April 16–17, 2024.
The said learning session aims to provide an overview of the proposed code’s main elements, legal, economic, and cultural concerns, as well as the policy and development process. Parliament Bill No. 286, or the Revenue Code, is one of the priority pieces of legislation of the Bangsamoro Government and aims to govern the levying, assessment, and collection of all regional taxes, fees, and charges, as well as the management of other regional revenue sources and tax expenditures within the BARMM.
