Cotabato City| The Office of the Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., turned over one (1) unit of 33ftr Marine Patrol Boat to the Fisheries Services of MAFAR-BARMM on May 24, 2023, at Barangay Kalanganan II.

The said Marine Patrol Boat, implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) and funded through the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) of MP Yacob, aims to support the fishery law-enforcement unit in protecting the aquatic resources against illegal fishing activities within the Bangsamoro Region.

Present during the turn-over ceremony are the Bangsamoro Director General for Agriculture Services Daud K. Lagasi, Ph.D., Bangsamoro Director General for Fisheries Services Pendatun S. Patarasa, MPA, Bangsamoro Director General for Agrarian Reform Services Taugan S. Kikay, Ph.D., Director II for Fisheries Operations Macmod S. Mamalangcap, Ph.D., Director II for Fisheries Research and Regulatory Services, Dr. Mohammad Taha S. Pendaliday, MAFAR TDIF Focals, MAFAR Fisheries law enforcement unit, and staff of MP Yacob.
