READ| The office of Member of the Parliament MP Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D. represented by Rosda Ebus-Bunda, Political Affairs Officer VI presented before the Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (CAFAR) the salient features of the Proposed Bill No. 39, entitled “An Act Establishing the Bangsamoro Agriculture and Fisheries Training Institute (BAFTI),” today, February 23, 2023.

BAFTI is a necessary bill to pass to promote food security; agriculture in the region must progress as the demand for food exponentially increases. Through BAFTI, sustainable and effective agricultural science promotion and implementation help solve the food security issue.

Present during the meeting were Chairperson MP Matarul M. Estino, vice-chairperson MP Amroussi A. Macatanong, and other members of the committee.

Yacob, Ph.D., successfully conducted a three-day relief assistance distribution in the provinces of Maguindanao Del Sur and Del Norte from September 24 to 26, 2024. This initiative took place in the municipalities of Mamasapano, Shariff Aguak, Shariff Saydona, and Datu Odin Sinsuat, reaching some of the most vulnerable populations in the region.
