𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊| The Office of Member of the Parliament (MP) Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D. turned over around seven (7) 4 WD Tractor (35-40 Hp) with rotary tiller and trailer and one (1) corn sheller to various farmer cooperatives in the region today, November 15, 2022, at BARMMIARC, Barangay Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

The said farm machinery, implemented through the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) and funded through the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2021 of MP Yacob that aims to support increased farm production and help uplift the lives of the farmers in the Bangsamoro Region.

Supervising Political Affairs Officer I (SPAOI) Walid Y. Iskak, RN, MPA led the turnover ceremony and expressed his gratitude to the MAFAR officials, and reminds the beneficiaries to utilize the machine with care because this will not only help their cooperative but also their community.

MAFAR Assistant Provincial Director for Special Geographic Area (SGA) Disomimba Rasheed also expressed his thanks to MP Yacob and his staff and to the beneficiaries emphasizing that they are very lucky to receive this kind of farm machinery and that mechanization is strong support for the farmers.

“I am expressing my thanks to MP Yacob and his staff and to our beneficiaries who are here today. Indeed, you are very lucky to be one of the recipients of this farm machinery out of hundreds of thousands of farmers in the region, “ Disomimba said.

“The Bangsamoro farmers need this kind of mechanization because it serves as our strong support in farming. The Bangsamoro farmers need to keep up with the agricultural modernization.” He added.

Furthermore, Mr. Ryan Sakilan, chairman of Tubaran Sajahatra Producer Cooperative one of the recipients of 4 WD Tractor (35-40 Hp) expressed his gratefulness to the Bangsamoro Government and to the Office of MP Yacob and assures that they will use the machinery with carefulness, it will not only benefit their cooperatives but also their community.

“We expressed our gratitude to the Bangsamoro Government and the Office of MP Yacob, we assure you that we will properly use this machinery with care and we assure you that this will not only benefit us but also our community.” Sakilan said.

Present during the ceremony were MAFAR Officials, Assistant Provincial Director for Special Geographic Area (SGA) Rasheed Disomimba, Provincial Training Officer, Solaiman B. Kabasalan, MAFAR-TDIF Focal Person Norhaminne Nul, Task forced KABPAGUYAGA led by MP Yacob Supervising Political Affairs Officer I (SPAOI) Walid Y. Iskak, RN, MPA, and his team.
